Post Thoughts
Theme of Surprise was quite difficult to achieve. I think the entire game's story encapsulates a surprise, from the way the characters interact with each other, and the little details sprinkled into the world. For what was made within the timeframe, I've enjoyed the entire process. Please enjoy the game, and have fun with what is there. There is no end credits, so run around to your hearts content. :)

Hello there! I'm starting to go back and write all my thoughts/feedback on the jam games, so here are my thoughts on Pokémon Recollections!
The graphical styles of some of the assets clashed, mainly some of the tiles had outlines while some didn't, which made the visuals of the game look overall inconsistent. On this note, I also thought the textbox of the name window didn't mesh that well with the main text box one.
There also seems to be something wrong with Voltseon's Pause Menu in the released version that pulls up an error saying it's missing something, and then pulls up the normal Essentials menu.
Giving a shiny starter to the player is pretty interesting, and I'm interested to see if there's a particular reason you chose to do that revealed later.
The eventing, dialogue, and writing from what we've seen so far have been pretty enjoyable thus far.
Overall, a pretty short experience, but one that was polished enough that make me enjoy my time playing through it. Good job on releasing something, and I look forward to it if you ever release something again!
