Made in RPG Maker 2003 (Manaics patch by BingShan)
Based on Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, A Delibird from a postal guild must go on a sneaking mission to obtain a gift from an anonymous messenger. This game takes place in the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Universe. If any fan is interested in somewhat deep world-building in the series, this might be up your alley.
Gameplay:
Unlike most Pokémon fan games, you can't take down a squad alone. Sneaking is part of your mission; don't get caught. Use whatever resources you have and can find in the harsh weather environment, and get to your goal.

Changelog 1.3
Alert and Evasion Music tracks are now fixed.
Due to a small oversight, thanks to the manaics patch, the mouse can be used to interact with dialogue messages. Another benefit of using the maniacs patch is the ability to hold down shift to advance quicker in cutscenes.
Fixed STRUGGLE to be used when the player runs out of PP.
Known issues: Enemies can still spot the player when eliminated with blast seeds.
Changelog 1.2
Lagacy version(s)

Hello there! I'm currently going back through all of the jam games and giving my feedback/thoughts, so here's my thoughts on Ekans Eater!
I've never played through a Metal Gear game before so I wasn't sure how I would feel about this game, but I really enjoyed my time with it!
It felt like it really had a unique premise and was a nice change of pace to play something gameplay different like how it was.
However, with that different gameplay system I wish it was explained a bit better, as I was kind of confused early on and mostly won out of luck with the "big boss" battle at the end of the demo.
The credits were also really charming and memorable! Though that may be just because of it not being the basic Essentials credits haha.
The dialogue felt very nicely written and interrupted the gameplay at appropriate times without feeling intrusive and each of the cutscenes were purposeful and moved the plot along nicely.
Overall, a really nice project that was a nice change of pace and could really become something special if expanded on in the future! I really look forward to whatever you try to do in the future as I see something really promising in you!
